This wasn’t John’s best mood, but that could be changed.
After all, it was hard to be cheery in a place like this. The floor was only concrete, cold against the touch, and the little furniture John had in his room didn’t go together in any fashion. Everything was made of wood, and seemed to have mold growing from it, if not termites. The one light socket held a weak bulb, and exposed wires as it hung from the ceiling. The roof directly above the light fixture sagged and had enormous stains from water damage spotting it almost like a cow pattern. T
